Christmas Freight Cut Off Dates: Your Last Chance For Christmas Gifts
We just want to give you the heads up and make sure you're planning ahead to send your Christmas gifts early this year to avoid disappointment. As freight delays and increased consumer demand due to COVID-19 have also impacted this year's holiday season, we recommend that you get your skates on and order your Christmas gifts sooner rather than later. Most, if not all cutoff dates are earlier than usual.
To give you some rough ideas as the cutoff dates for shipping freight domestically vary depending on where you're sending it (Australia is a large country!), most shipping providers are recommending shipping items no later than the 3rd-10th December, in order to ensure a timely arrival over the Christmas period.
While other options like express freight and couriers can be an alternative to get around the shorter cutoff dates(we offer this option as well to our customers and clients), many others will no doubt have the same idea so expect surge pricing and delays for those services too.
As always, the best way to avoid heartache over this holiday period is to think ahead and send early it's better to be safe than sorry!
