Thank you for supporting a small business in regional Australia.

It's an exciting time to run a business in drought stricken areas of regional New South Wales at the moment. That sounds strange I know! However, if you follow social media, over the past month you will have probably seen the #buyfromthebush or #buyregional movements which have flooded both traditional and social media channels.

These movements are based off a relatively simple but amazingly caring business concept - connecting the retailer in drought affected communities to the consumer. However to a small business like mine based in rural Australia, it has a much more substantial meaning, It's not only about boosting our local economies but it's also increasing morale and developing a community which gives small business owners purpose. Thank you to all who have been involved. It's absolutely amazing.

Country Culture was fortunate enough to be featured on the 'Buy From the Bush' Facebook and Instagram page, as well as the government run website 'Buy Regional'. To say that these initiatives have helped our little business is an understatement. Not only have our sales increased but more importantly our story has been shared with thousands of people who otherwise would never have heard of Country Culture, and for that we are very thankful!

As we mentioned in our last blog post, we can't make it rain but we can support farmers, their families and everyone who lives in regional Australia by buying locally this Christmas. If you're looking for any inspiration you can find a curated set of gifts which we recommend for Christmas here www.countryculture.com.au/christmas

Stay tuned there is more to come!

Ange xx
