There’s something deeply comforting about the rituals we return to at the end of a long day. These quiet moments of pause are exactly what Australian wellness brand Salus was created to celebrate.
Founded in 2010 by Jason Cook, Salus was born from a desire to bring the restorative experience of the spa into everyday life. After more than two decades in the health and wellness industry, Jason saw an opportunity to challenge the idea that natural products were somehow less effective or less luxurious than synthetic alternatives. Instead, he envisioned a range that celebrated the remarkable power of botanical ingredients through a sophisticated, elevated lens.
We had two minutes with Jason, one of the founders of the brand on what makes Salus Body stand apart from the rest.
What inspired you to start Salus?
I started Salus Body just over 10 years ago as I saw a need to make natural spa strength products that we generally only see in spa accessible to the lifestyle and homewares market.
What do you love most about the job?
I love working with passionate people like myself who are genuinely invested in making Australian products that encourage a healthier and more relaxed way of being.
Have you got a favourite product from the range?
I've never been a fan of favourites but if I had to choose I'd say it would be our Eucalyptus & Rosemary Purifying Body Scrub as I believe the secret to healthier skin is regular exfoliation.
